Lukas Chandler Beckelman, age 20, of Charlottesville, VA, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015.

Lukas is survived by his mother, Kimberly Beckelman of Charlottesville, VA; his soul mate, Kristie Ryder of Charlottesville, VA; his stepsister, Megan Perry of Roanoke Rapids; his maternal grandparents, Carroll “Beck” and Judy Beckelman, Sr. of Roanoke Rapids; his aunts, Connie Gibson and her husband, Jeff, Bonnie Simmons, and Melissa Warren, all of Roanoke Rapids, and Holly Giles and her husband, Jeff of Springboro, OH; his uncle, Carroll Beckelman, Jr. of Roanoke Rapids; and his cousins, Blake, Corey, Danielle, Joey, Carroll III, Sydnee, Gabe, Gracen, Carroll IV, Max, C.J., Bryson, Ansley, Emersyn, Eli, and Cameron Blake.

Lukas loved music and his family and friends will remember him for his warm, kind heart and his sense of humor.

The family will have a private memorial service that is being handled by Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids, NC. There will also be a memorial service for his family and friends in Charlottesville, VA at a later date.
